We have been deciding on how the drag and drop feature should work, and I am proud to announce that we have a working Drag & Drop feature on the research page. To make sure that we are releasing a bug-free feature, and that the Drag & Drop works like intended, the planned release for the new version is on Thursday 24 February.

Logarithmic Scale

Our resident expert jack, had an interesting idea on what we could add on the charts page. This feature has been working for quite some time but we thought that it needed some clarification.

The Logarithmic scale(Log Scale in short) is a mathematic principle, and this is an extract from Wikipedia on Logarithmic scale : "Presentation of data on a logarithmic scale can be helpful when the data cover a large range of values – the logarithm reduces this to a more manageable range"

Now what does this mean to us technicians and our clients? On the old Sharetrackin ME, and the normal Charts on MC2 are set to normal, but on the "Preferences" button found on charts, you can set "Logarithmic scale"

This means that ANY two spots on the charts, will be the Same % growth and loss regardless of where on the chart you look, here are two examples to show the difference between Normal and Log scale charts :

On this chart, we have the normal scale that we are all used to. What you can clearly see that Line 1 and Line 2 are both 50% growth lines, but the SIZE of the growth looks different even though they are both 50%.

On this chart I enabled the Log Scale. What you can now see is that both lines will basically be the same size(even though the angle is different, both of them are the same length) This makes it easier on the eyes to see the same 50% growth on two spots that are the same percentage wise.

In short : When log scale is enabled, Any two spots on the chart which has a point A and B, the difference between that A and B will be the same % on any two given spots on the chart.
